10g is a grid computing product developed by Oracle which includes a database management system (DBMS) and an application server. This product automates many database management tasks in addition to supporting grid features like resource sharing and automatic load balancing. The ‘g’ here symbolizes the commitment to the Grid model by the company. Known for its cost-effectiveness and flexibility, enterprise grid creates large pools of industry standards, servers, and modular storage. The grid architecture features every new system to provision from a pool of components rapidly.
